Any thoughts? This is a book most people are probably familiar with. They are very big in England and are making steps to get more involved in the international market (They do not accept real money players from North America). I first got in with them because they had a juicy line on a CFL game, after that I pulled all my money out becuase their baseball lines are truly awful usually the vig is like 25-35 cents which is outrageous.
However they often have lines on NFL and college that are a point or two off of the consesus of Caribean books. Which makes them very good to have as an extra out. They also offer moneylines on EVERY college and pro game, this means even when Nebraska is a 49 pt fav they have a moneyline, which in that case would be 1.01. This allows alot of options involving parlays and just playing a big fav to win 1% which is virtually gaurunteed.
Another cool thing about this book is that they have all of their NFL lines end in .5 so if a game is 3.0 at every book, you can be assured that Ladbrokes has the game at either 2.5 or 3.5 this ends up being really nice because often you get that key extra halfpoint you need without even having to buy it, and also gives good middle opps alot of the time.
They also have lines on alot of sports I wouldn't dream of betting on, including Cricket, Austrailian Rules Football and others. They have lines for every major soccer league which is nice although I don't pay too much attention to that.
My favorite part of Ladbrokes is the ease of getting money in and out. You can make bets directly from your credit card for NO charge. Which is a great feature, and then to get money out you can either get a cheque sent for free which takes about 1-2 weeks, or you can get a bank wire which only costs about $5.
Overall this place is probably my favorite book for just football. I don't know how they will be for basketball but their baseball lines aren't even worth looking at. The ease of money in and out is truly unrivaled. Sportsbook reviews by Jess P.
